Beijing!! please help!?

April 11, 2010 - Posted in ho chi minh city vacation

I currently live in Saigon (Ho Chi Minh City) and this is my first experience in Asia. Honestly, I don’t like this place! and I decided to move. last month I visited Beijing for about 6 days and honestly I loved it! There’s a job there and I applied, but before I make the big decision…can I ask… Is Beijing still nice after you live in it and find all the flaws and things that dont work? do you ever wish you want to escape from there? I’m gonna be working for Grand Hyatt Beijing and I went there when I was on vacation! honsetly…Oriental Plaza is fantastic!!! the monuments are great!! fantastic night life in Beijing…is it still like that after you actually live in it?

Seriously, why the heck do you wanna live in china? Its horrible there. Stay in America or England. But if you really wanna live in Asia, Japan and Korea would have to be your best bet. But theres a language barrier if you can’t speak Japanese or Korean. So the next best places would have to be Taiwan or Singapore.

Is a 4 or 5 day tour adviseable in Vietnam?

  3. You will experience much more in China, Beijing is fantastic for night life, entertaiment, and also there are sort of different people living there. The only thing that the city can’t give you is peacefulness. It’s crowded and busy. Winter can be hard and specially when there’s dust storm. Overall I like Beijing and would recommend anyone to live and experience the surreal life.

  6. Ok for one i have been to Beijing three times… and the first time i loved it! the second time was just alright, and the third was bad, when you really get to know Beijing and stay there along time you will hate the traffic problems, and it is SO much expensive than the rest of China. Tip: if you want a job in China, contact me: Ace8104@hotmail.com

  9. I just returned from Beijing after spending time there to adopt a chinese baby girl. There is a lot of air pollution there! I got sick with a bad throat, ear and eye infection. I would suggest wearing a mask when you are outdoors! They traffic is very busy but it is a good city. We were in Chongqing the first week and I liked it better. But I am serious about that mask.
