Is a 4 or 5 day tour adviseable in Vietnam?

April 30, 2009 - Posted in Vietnam Vacation

We are arriving in Ho Chi Minh City Jan. 4 and will be in Vietnam for approx. 2 weeks. We have heard it is very inexpensive to vacation (hotels, food, transportation). Would we see more on a guided tour and what price would we expect, or is it far cheaper going on our own. What are the pros and cons of tour versus going alone. Any tour recommendations, actually any advice appreciated.

My experience has been that when you stay in Saigon (HCMC), the hotels in district 1 all have travel agencies in them. They are all linked together, so go with the one in your hotel or if you find one that is a dollar or 2 cheaper in another hotel. So far, I have been to the Cu Chi tunnels, and the Mekong Delta tours. If you take the Mekong tour, only take the one day, because the 2 days is too monotonous, I have heard. The Mkong tour is less than $20 for one and the cu chi tour is less than $10 for one. I highly suggest the guided tours. You won't know what you're doing on your own and the guides speak english.

What is the easiest way to open up a business in Vietnam like direct selling or MLM? Can somebody help me?

  2. Yes, you are right, the vacation is inexpensive..
It is better for you to go with a guided tour, that way you will see more natural beauty of Vietnam..
If you go on your own, you have to paid taxi, hotels, food, ect..
With the guided tour you don't have to worry about anything.
Price range $100-$600 depend where and what type of luxury hotel you want to stay in.
For $100 you probably go around TPHCM to Cu Chi Tunnel
For $600 you probably end up in the North like Hanoi, Halong Bay, Sapa..or maybe more..
I pasted you a link of all the guided tour in Ho Chi Minh City..
