Should I travel to Vietnam on my vacation?
April 11, 2010 - Posted in Vietnam Vacation
What is good and bad there?
I would definitely recommend travelling to Vietnam. It is beautiful with a very diverse range of activities, attractions, beaches( in the season). and interesting cultural places to visit. It is quite a cheap destination and while busy in the cities, you can get away a bit to less populated areas. The people are generally very friendly and helpful, food good……..
We loved our time here last year – Hanoi is a good base with some great day trips or 2-3 day tours such as Halong Bay, Lake Ba-be, Sapa. Then Hue and Hoi An and other central towns are all different but really fascinating.
We didn’t go but briefly to Ho Chi Minh so I’ll leave that for others to comment.
So have a great holiday!
How did the vietnam war alter the american psyche in the years after the 1975 defeat in Hanoi?

Vietnam is an intriguing country, with different and enchanting characteristics throughout North to South. The scenary and culture here is also very captivating. If you have the opportunity, yes, I would suggest making a trip here. It’s mostly all good, with some of the considerations that it is still a developing country. I enclosed this website where you can find more information of the places of interests in this country.

i spent a month in vietnam and it was the most amazing experience of my life, i can not wait to go back, it has the most beautiful places, halong bay, nha trang, sapa and the experiences are unforgettable, the things i found annoying over there like the constant tooting of scooter horns, turned out to be the thing i miss most. ho chi minh city is completely chaotic but so fun. the shopping is really fun and easy, and the people are really nice. i found that hoi an was a really beautiful place, everyone there is really nice and you can get the most amazing things tailored for you for the best prices. it is such a cheap holiday and worth every cent. i would be completely jelous of you if you choose to go to vietnam . have fun

Yes, I went there three years ago – its a brilliant country. Visit Hanoi and Saigon(Ho Chi Minh City) they’re both great places, and have lots of places to visit there. Go to Halong Bay as well which really is beautiful – a James Bond film was set there. You can visit caves if you take a boat there. My favourite place in Vietnam is Hoi An which is a town just south of Halong Bay. Its great and much smaller than Hanoi or Ho Chi Minh City. The Cu Chi TUnnels are really great as well and very interesting but don’t go into the tunnels (you can still visit as there are other things there) if you’re claustrophic because it gets incredibly small there! I highly recommend it (as you can see) but just be aware that there are a lot of motorbikes in the main cities which can make it daunting to cross the main roads but i realised after a while that its not very dangerous. The food is great as well and the countryside is beautiful as well.

Well "a good place to travel" very much depends on each person’s habits, hobbies, interests, health condition and so on. I don’t know what is good for you or what you like. In my opinion, traveling anywhere is an exciting thing. I especially want to go to where I don’t know, where I can’t speak the language (I speak 5 languages). I really dislike to live in places that I know too well. And that’s me. So you or anybody else can differ from me.
I think Vietnam is an exciting place to experience, but not for nightlife. The cool thing is that it is quite different from any country in the region in terms of food, culture, language, architecture, history, etc… So it’s really worth a visit because we can learn a lot.
You should read a bit more on Vietnam and make your decision. I wish you all the best in your vacation. Check out the source below on Vietnam.
