Should I wear a respirator during my plane flight to Vietnam?
April 17, 2010 - Posted in Vietnam Vacation
I’m going on vacation to Vietnam in June and I was wondering if I would need to wear a respirator (that thingy that covers your mouth and nose to prevent the inhalation of viruses or particles) on the airplane. Would I look stupid, or should I keep myself safe? If so, where can I get one? This is also because of the Swine Flu.
Well, if you are going to wear one on this trip, you need to wear one all the time. There are always microbes in the air that can make you sick. many far worse than this flu that has affected a very few people. You have a FAR greater chance of catching the regular old flu in the U.S. Every year over 200,000 people in the U.S. have the flu and about 36,000 die…heard any big fuss about that?
Is it safe to go visit Vietnam after escaping it as a refugee/boat person during the Vietnam War?
