Where should my wife go for vacation in this area?

May 26, 2009 - Posted in Vietnam Vacation

We're off to Hawaii in April, and Korea in the late summer…we live in Japan, so want to travel around this area. If you have been to Jakarta, Vietnam, or other areas that you really enjoyed, please let me know. We have no kids, but are middle class, so cheaper the better! Thanks!

it depends on what you two like.
1. indonesia offers cultures and performing arts, beautiful beaches (bali, lombok, menado, flores). lots of beautiful volcanoes, highlands and waterfalls to explore. a good adventure.
2. vietnam is an interesting country. it displays different life styles and activities – a contrast between the past and present. rich with dark history, an eye opener of what life was like over there. there are scenic places to visit that cannot be missed. explore the highland and the beaches to engulf yourself in the culture there. it is an adventure of a life time.

3. i would recommend cambodia. admire the magnificent ancient history of angkor, the dark history during the french era, the sad history of brutality by pol pot, then emmerse yourself in the culture and beautiful scenery. a historical tour of a life time.

How do I start investing in Vietnam?

  2. Thailand is a great place to go. You can find acceptable accommodations for any budget. You could visit Bangkok, Phukhet, Chiang Mai. Great beaches, friendly people and you will almost always be within earshot of an English speaking native.
